July 22, 2012 at 6:05 PM ET - Shocking video footage has been released of Anaheim Police Department officers firing non-lethal bullets at a crowd of mostly-Latino protesters, including women and small children.
On Saturday, July 21st 2012, Anaheim patrol officers attempted to approach several men on the 600 block of North Anna Drive. The three men fled, and one was followed by police to the 700 block of North Anna, where he was shot by law enforcement. The man, identified as Manuel "Stomper" Diaz, died three hours after the shooting.
A group of angry protestors confronted the police, and were shot at with rubber bullets. In the video, a woman holding a child can be seen as she is attacked by a police dog:
