May 2, 2013 at 1:48 AM ET – New video uploaded to the internet reveals a man being arrested while drinking an Arizona Iced Tea in the parking lot of Cumberland County ABC Liquor Store located at 5091-C Morganton Road in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
On the evening of April 29, 2013, rappers Xstrav (Xstravagant) and Tino Brown filmed themselves waiting in the parking lot of ABC Liquor for fellow music artist Money Mal to join them. The group planned on making a purchase from the store, as Christopher Beatty (Xstrav) sipped on an Arizona Half & Half Iced Tea (half pink lemonade, half sweet tea).
In the video uploaded by Tony Light, a man can be seen approaching Xstrav, and asks the music artist if the beverage is alcoholic. The rapper showed the man his can of tea before asking him to identify himself, at which point the plainclothes man identified himself as being “police” without presenting a badge or other form of identification. The man claiming to be a police officer then asked the rappers to leave the property. After repeated requests for his badge number, the man eventually pulled his shirt to the side for one second to reveal what appeared to be a law enforcement badge. Only three seconds after revealing a badge, the officer asked Xstrav to place his hands on his vehicle, and the rapper was placed under arrest.

When commenters on Youtube began to suggest that the video was in some way staged, a second video uploaded to the same Youtube channel showed uniformed Fayetteville police officers arriving on the scene and placing a handcuffed Mr. Beatty into the back of a patrol car.
According to the North Carolina Court System website, Mr. Beatty was arrested for 5709 Misdemeanor Second Degree Trespass 14-159.13 and 5310 Misdemeanor Resisting Public Officer 14-223. His court date is scheduled for June 6, 2013.
