November 30, 2012 at 5:35 AM ET – An incredibly disturbing and disappointing video has recently surfaced which shows several teenage boys punching a defenseless special education student. The video was originally uploaded to Facebook by a teenager on November 28, 2012 at 4:50 PM with the posting title “Special Ed Greg Gets Rocked!”
Warning: the following video contains deplorable scenes of graphic violence. Do not watch if you are under the age of 18, or offended by violent content:
The video, which was originally posted to Facebook by a student of a Las Vegas high school, shows a young teen punching an unsuspecting victim in the face, seemingly at the encouragement of his friends. The victim of the punch, identified only as “Greg”, attempts to leave the area after being attacked.
One of the older teens that identifies himself in the video as the older brother of the first assailant tells his younger brother “Don’t let that ni**a walk off, grab his a**, bring him back this way.” The older brother and two onlookers filming the event follow the mentally challenged teen, while encouraging the original punch-thrower to “get your a** back out there, homie, it aint one hit…” Afterwards, the older brother chased down the victim, punching him several times before walking back towards the camera while flashing a hand sign representing the number 13.
As of this posting, it is unknown as to the full details surrounding the incident, or whether Clark County, Nevada law enforcement has been involved. Anyone with knowledge of this event is encouraged to make a bullying incident submission on the Clark County School District website.
Update: The teen throwing the first punch in the video has been identified as Malachi Luna. He was identified by his mother Donna Hernandez, who posted a message on her Facebook page Friday apologizing for her son’s behavior.
