Born in
Queens, NY to Dominican parents, Laura Diamante's
ability to emanate her Latin influence through music was
never a difficult task. Through Hip Hop music,
Laura hoped to evolve within the urban culture and would
later actively play a role in her community in order to
do so. Her life and music have been a reflection
of the urban culture due to her upbringing in an
inner-city environment. At the age of seven, she
began to display her talent in front of an audience
through her participation in a church choir. Her
lyrical style is a reflection of her essence and real
life struggles therefore defining the true meaning of
the word "savvy".
She sings in
both English and Spanish, writers her own lyrics,
composes her songs, and co-produces much of her music.
As a singer and MC, her versatile songs and lyrical
content are exactly why everything she touches turns to
gold. Ultimately, Laura's inner and outer beauty,
sense of styles, and powerful voice enhance her ability
to entice an audience and mesmerize all those who come
across her.
Laura has
performed on stage with Guru as part of his "Jazzmatazz"
tour in Europe, appeared on Mun2's "The Roof",
and opened for
Terror Squad, Joe Buddens, Angie Martinez,
Tony Touch, KRS-One and others. |
