L.I.V.E. was
born "Daniel Apa" in the windy city of Chicago,
Illinois. After living in a shelter home as a youth, he
was relocated to Jacksonville, North Carolina. Like many
others in his position, L.I.V.E. had to learn the
definition of "survival" at an early age. He did what
was necessary by using street life tactics and
attempting conventional jobs while trying to build a
career around his love for music.
In 2004, L.I.V.E. reconnected with long-time
friend/producer The D.E.M of Maximus Music Records. The
product was the full-length classic "Long Time Comin' "
The album, initially launched in the Carolinas, reached
sales all over the continental U.S., Hawaii, Canada, and
even sales in Europe.
After the release of his first official album, L.I.V.E.
toured briefly and temporarilly relocated to San
Antonio, Texas, with General Manager Joseph Fazio. The
response was positive and the need for another
full-length album was overwhelming. L.I.V.E. left Texas
for Greensboro North Carolina in order to be closer to
the Maximus Music Studio and producer The D.E.M. After
gaining a substantial buzz the label agreed to bring
L.I.V.E. aboard in 2005 for production.
With The DEM's production and L.I.V.E.'s new improved
flow out comes the product "LIGHT BLUE DOPE" a mixture
of southern flows mixed with northern influence
companied by R&B harmony. This title arrives from the
state proclaimed color "Carolina Blue" & the connotation
of being hooked on an addictive deadly drug. Listeners
will get a varitety of NC street hip hop, down south
flows, plus harmornized tracks w/ Jodeci & Oliva Newton
John.
L.I.V.E. is currently working with producer/songwriter
and Platinum Grammy awarded "Kilo" Pugh, a.k.a. Mr.
Maygreen known for "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill" &
currently featured on the new Ghostface Killer single
"Good" for Def Jam. The San Antonio Spurs used L.I.V.E's
team anthem as a warm up opener before games. L.I.V.E.
is currentlly working on a new solo album that is set to
drop in 2007. L.I.V.E.'s recent MixTape "Light Blue
Dope" is currently available for purchase.
